Property purchase: contract in, matter ready
A signed contract arrives, critical dates are extracted, conflict and AML checks are set up, and the matter is ready for the lawyer to approve in minutes.
The problem
When a signed contract for a property purchase arrives, someone opens a matter, types in the parties and property, reads the contract for the finance, building and pest and settlement dates, diarises them, runs a conflict check, starts the AML/CTF checks and emails the client a welcome letter. It takes an hour and a missed critical date is a negligence claim.
What we built
An illustrative intake workflow that connects to the firm's practice management system.
- Contract in: the contract is dropped in or arrives by email. AI review extracts the parties, property, price, deposit, special conditions and every critical date.
- One approval card for the lawyer: proposed matter details, critical dates, conflict check results and the AML/CTF checklist, each editable.
- Write back on approval: the matter, contacts, tasks and critical dates are created in the practice management system and the calendar.
- Client email drafted, never sent without the lawyer's say-so.
- Never touches trust money and never sends anything on its own.
Roles: conveyancer or property lawyer, law clerk, paralegal.

Outcome
Illustrative: designed from how property law firms work and the APIs their practice management systems offer, not built for a specific firm.
