Cyber Security
Layered protection built around the Essential Eight and Microsoft Defender.
Most small business breaches start the same way: a phishing email, a password that was reused somewhere, or a system that missed two years of updates. Our security service is built around the Australian Cyber Security Centre's Essential Eight, the practical baseline the federal government recommends for exactly these attacks.
In practice that means Microsoft Defender and Intune across your devices, multi-factor authentication and conditional access on your accounts, application and patching discipline, email filtering that catches phishing before it lands, and 24/7 SOC monitoring with someone to respond when an alert is real.
Security is part of our standard managed service, not an optional extra. If you only want a one-off review, we also run security audits that show you, in plain language, exactly where your current setup stands and what to fix first.

Common questions
What cyber security does a small business actually need?
A small business needs the basics done properly rather than expensive tools: multi-factor authentication on every account, patched systems, email filtering, endpoint protection, tested backups and limited admin rights. That set, the core of the Australian Government's Essential Eight, stops the attacks small businesses actually experience.
Do we need to comply with the Essential Eight?
The Essential Eight is mandatory for federal government entities but voluntary for private business, and increasingly expected anyway: insurers, enterprise customers and regulators all use it as the yardstick for reasonable security. We align every managed client to it as part of the standard service.
How would we know if we have already been breached?
Common signs are staff receiving password-reset emails they did not request, clients reporting strange emails from you, unfamiliar sign-in alerts, and mailbox rules nobody created. If any of those sound familiar, a compromise assessment can establish the facts quickly, and speed matters.
