Bookkeeping approvals queue
An AI agent prepares the bookkeeping, a bookkeeper ticks each change to approve it, and nothing reaches the accounts without a person saying yes.

The problem
Monthly bookkeeping is mostly matching: supplier bills to transactions, recurring charges to the right accounts, and chasing what does not match. It is slow, repetitive and easy to get slightly wrong.
What we built
A propose-only bookkeeping agent.
- Proposals queue: the agent matches transactions, codes bills and suggests journals, each as a proposal with its reasoning.
- Tick to approve: the bookkeeper approves, edits or rejects each proposal; only approved items are written to the accounting system.
- Exceptions list: anything the agent cannot match confidently goes to a separate list for a person.
- Month-end checklist: reconciliations, supplier statements, payroll and tax items with due dates.
The board at a glance
| Proposed | Needs info | Approved | Written to accounts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supplier bill, Software Co, coded to subscriptions | Unmatched deposit | Monthly licence charge | Phone bill |
Outcome
Built and running. The bookkeeper reviews and approves instead of keying, and every change has a named approver.
