Triage — Privacy Policy
Triage is an email-triage and task app for IT professionals, published by Premium Business IT Pty Ltd (PBIT). This policy explains what data the app handles and the choices you have.
Last updated: June 2026
Who we are
The app is operated by Premium Business IT Pty Ltd, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. For any privacy question or request, contact privacy@pbit.com.au.
What data we handle
- Microsoft 365 account. When you connect a mailbox, we use Microsoft sign-in (OAuth). We receive your account email and display name, and an access token that lets the app read and send mail on your behalf. We never see or store your Microsoft password.
- Email data. To triage your inbox the app reads message metadata (sender, subject, received time) and short body previews. This information is used to classify each email and to let you turn emails into tasks.
- Tasks you create, including titles, notes, due dates, and checklist items.
- App account & usage. A licence record (your plan and trial status), basic device details (device name, account name, app version) used to identify your installation, and usage counts (such as AI tokens used) for billing and limits.
How we use it
- To show, classify, and help you action your email.
- To create and sync your tasks across your own devices.
- To provide AI features (classification, drafting, summaries, and voice-to-task transcription).
- To enforce plan limits and support your account.
AI processing & third parties
AI features work by sending the relevant content (for example an email's sender, subject and preview, a task title, or a voice clip you record) to AI providers Anthropic and OpenAIthrough PBIT's own secure proxy. These providers process the content to return a result and do not use it to train their models. We also rely on Microsoft Graph for mailbox access and Microsoft Azure for hosting. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Storage & security
Your tasks, account record and encrypted mailbox tokens are stored in Microsoft Azure (Australia). Microsoft sign-in tokens are encrypted at rest. On your device, your licence key and mailbox tokens are kept in the operating system's secure store (iOS Keychain). Backups are taken to geo-redundant storage so your data can be recovered.
Sharing within a team
If your administrator places your licence in a team, your tasks are shared with other members of that team so you can work from a common list. Your email, mailbox, and email classifications are never shared — they remain private to you.
Keeping or deleting your data
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from inside the app: Settings → Delete account & data. This permanently removes your tasks, settings, mailbox connection, and account record from our servers and cannot be undone. You can also disconnect a mailbox without deleting your account by signing out. Alternatively, email privacy@pbit.com.au and we will action your request.
Children
Triage is a business productivity tool and is not directed at, or intended for, anyone under 16.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy as the app evolves; material changes will be reflected here with a new date. Questions or requests: privacy@pbit.com.au.
